Eustis Texas Art

The third annual Art A Fare takes place today at 6pm at the Lake Eustis Museum of Art. The 41st Leesburg Art Festival, organized by the Leeburger Zentrum für Kunst, takes place in the city center of Lesburg. It is scheduled for October 12-13 and is expected to attract more than 8,000 people to the area.

Eustis also has the honor of hosting the nation's second-longest GeorgeFest after Laredo, Texas. It is the second oldest such celebration in our nation and has been celebrated for over a year, but it is still one of the most popular events in Texas, if not the country.

When I was stationed at the Nursing School of Fort Sam Houston, I worked for a few years at Fort Polk Medical Center in Eustis before returning to Fort Polk. Florida Hospital Waterman, as it is now known, was active in the city until it moved to its current location in downtown Fort Worth in 2004.

Rhee earned her MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University Public School of Art, where she worked under the tutelage of artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, George Lucas, and William Faulkner. Rhee went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for two years before opting to study painting for two years at Texas A & M University in Fort Worth, where he was an artist.

He attended basic training at Fort Polk, Louisiana, completed individual training as a combat medical doctor and completed a four-year career in the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1989. Schmidt was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division and attended Army Medical School and the U.S. Army College of Veterinary Medicine. Gragg attended basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, but completed Advanced Individual Training and Combat Medical Training (ACMT) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas School of Medicine in Austin and Fort Benning, Georgia.

Barbara is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin School of Art and Design and the Texas Institute of Contemporary Art.
